The Chromosome Laboratory at the Department of Clinical Genetics at Rigshospitalet will be the first in Scandinavia to offer and perform a new genetic screening test for chromosome abnormalities such as D​​own syndrome from 1 September 2015. ​Today, HIV in Europe announces the inclusion of viral hepatitis testing in European HIV Testing Week. The announcement coincides with World Hepatitis Day 2015 and aims to encourage hepatitis community groups from across Europe to sign-up to participate in the 2015 testing week activities – moving forward the week will be known as European HIV-Hepatitis Testing Week.

New findings illustrate manifold benefit of therapy. ​Professor, M.D. Jens Lundgren, Rigshospitalet and Copenhagen University Hospital, presented the new study at the International AIDS Conference in Vancouver

​A new study from the largest children's cancer hospital in the world, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, USA, conducted in collaboration with Danish researchers from Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital and DTU Systems Biology shows that one of the causes behind children developing leukaemia is to be found in their genetic material. The study was published Wednesday 24 June, in the scientific journal Nature Communications.​

She receives the award for her outstanding contributions to the understanding and treatment of diabetes and pregnancy​.​

A new Research Platform at Rigshospitalet is about to investigate how the treatment of immune defective patients with diagnoses such as Cancer and HIV can be optimized. Rigshospitalet has recently been granted 60 million DKK by the Danish Research Foundation to the project, which is the first of its kind in Denmark.
