Rigshospitalet has one of Europe's largest ENT departments with approx 70 doctors and a total of 300 employees. The department treats Greenlandic, Faroese and Icelandic patients who require a high specialist level. For example, Greenlandic patients with head and neck cancer or Greenlandic children in need of bone-anchored hearing aids are treated at Rigshospitalet.
Doctors with experience in Greenlandic conditions are associated with the unit, so both treatment of the patients and possibly counseling or teaching within highly specialized courses is adapted to Greenlandic conditions and takes place in accordance with the framework and guidelines laid down by
