Counteracting Sarcopenia in Patients with Malignant Lymphoma undergoing Chemotherapy Treatment​​

2021-2024Patients newly diagnosed with diffuse Large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and Hodgkin lymphoma (HL).

(WP1) A cohort study to investigate the prognostic role of muscle dysfunction in patients diagnosed with DLBCL and HL undergoing treatment compared with a cohort of age-matched healthy individuals

 

(WP2) A prospective two-arms randomized controlled trial to evaluate a progressive resistance training program in patients with DLBCL and HL undergoing anthracycline-containing combination chemotherapy regimen with use of an “exercise ambassador"

Intervention: supervised and group based progressive resistance training. 3 x/w for 4 months

 

(WP3) Qualitative interviews to provide insight into the approach of the support persons role as an “exercise ambassador". From the perspective of the patient and “exercise ambassador".
