​The research and education team at Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital is a specialized team within the broader research network at Rigshospitalet. The research focus is centered around pregnant women, fetuses, children, adolescents, and families and operates across various professional groups and departments at Rigshospitalet, as well as national and international collaboration.

Interprofessional collaboration

Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital research and education team is an interprofessional team , led by Jette Led Sørensen, consultant and professor in interprofessional learning. The team primarily consists of PhD students supervised by Jette Led Sørensen. The research team includes doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other professionals in fields such as nutrition, health, public health science, and epidemiology.

Our focus

We engage in interprofessional collaborations with several research and education projects, focusing on areas such as patient involvement, patient experiences, children’s and adolescents’ rights, play in hospitals, digital interventions aimed at mobilization, methods for assessing mobilization (accelerometers), the operating room’s Black Box. These include several PhD projects that will form the basis for various interventions to be potentially implemented at Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital.
