We are seeking candidates for three Novo Nordisk Foundation professorships in paediatric surgery:
Clinical Professor of Cardiac Surgery with special focus on Treatment of Children with Congenital Heart Diseases (Fixed-term, 5 years)
Clinical Professor of Foetal Therapy and Surgery (Fixed-term, 5 years)
Clinical Professor of Paediatric Surgery with special focus on Translational Reconstruction Techniques (Fixed-term, 5 years)

The professors will play important roles in the current process of creating a new front line hospital building for children, adolescents and pregnant women, called 'BørneRiget' – Children's Hospital Copenhagen.
The hospital building will open in 2024 and will set new standards for treatment, and the interaction between architecture, organization, research and patient care.
It is a requirement for appointment that the applicant is accepted for both the professorship and a clinical position as a consultant.
The unification of all treatment and care regarding children, adolescents and pregnant women in one common surgical, intensive and neonatal ward, offers excellent grounding for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. The new professors will play important roles in developing innovative treatments that meet the needs of the patients in the future.
