Laboratory of Reproductive Biology (LRB) is an independent research facility, at Copenhagen University Hospital.
LRB a multifunctional unit, constituted by a national tissue bank for cryopreserved gonadal tissue and an independent research unit. Our highly specialized clinical function includes cryopreservation of ovarian and testicular tissue to preserve fertility in children and young women at risk of infertility due to cancer or other diseases.
The research focus of LRB include ovarian biology and reproductive endocrinology, particularly focusing on the regulation and interplay between ovarian and follicular compartments leading to oocyte competence and maturation.
