At Enheden for Gentagne Graviditetstab (Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Unit) offers examination of reasons and possible treatment of couples with recurring involuntary abortions. These are women who have had three or more miscarriages at the early stages of pregnancy or two or more miscarriages after the 14th week of pregnancy. Just under 1% of all women have a miscarriage three or more times consecutively, and these are called involuntary abortions or abortus habitualis.
