The unit carries out highly specialized aeromedical examinations in agreement with the Danish military. The unit oversees examinations and coordinates examinations which are carried out throughout Rigshospitalet. All flight- and diving-related illnesses in non-military patients are referred to the individual specialty from which the illness causes symptoms.
