The Tissue Engineering laboratory is situated at two sites; Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark, and at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.
Our laboratory site at Rigshospitalet is situated in building 93 and contains state-of-the-art resources for advanced tissue engineering related research. Our expertise in laboratory research includes: cell expansion, histology, cryopreservation, isolation of adult primary cells, general wet lab experimentation, micromolecular analyses, 3D cell-cell and cell-material interactions, biomechanics, and animal experimentation.

Our laboratory site in Stockholm is located in the new clinical research building Bioclinicum at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. The laboratory shares common facilities with multiple research groups allowing an interdisciplinary environment and several networking possibilities with clinicians and other scientists.
Both laboratory sites contain infrastructure for experimental work in wet lab, dry lab and cell culture lab, office spaces and several core facilities. Altogether offering high throughput technologies and resources that facilitate high quality research, including advanced microscopy, gene expression analysis, gene editing, and proteomic analysis.
