Danish Center for Sleep Medicine​ researches the basic mechanisms of sleep-wake regulation, diagnosis, consequences, and treatment of sleep disorders.

Main research areas​

Good and normal Sleep-awake and circadian regulation is central to mental and physical health. We evaluate new methods of assessment and treatments regarding normal and pathological sleep and circadian rhythm, study of sleep-wake diseases such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy and sleep disorders associated with neuropsychiatric diseases.

Advanced biomedical, electrophysiological, and imaging methods are used. Large national and international databases are used.

The research is performed in cooperation with many clinical departments and academic institutions in Denmark and abroad.
