Center for Inherited Metabolic Diseases

In Center for Inherited Metabolic Diseases, we are dedicated to advancing the understanding of metabolic diseases from diagnosis via newborn screening to treatment and follow-up. Our research spans across various populations, with studies of treatment and basal metabolic investigations of fat, glucose and protein metabolism in acutely and chronically ill children, healthy children, and individuals of all ages with inborn errors of metabolism.

Our mission is to uncover the complexities of metabolic processes and their impact on health and disease. Through rigorous clinical trials and innovative research, we aim to develop new strategies for diagnosis (including newborn screening), treatment, clinical and biochemical follow-up, and prevention of metabolic disorders.
