The following scenario is fictive, but realistic.
Symptoms
A 22-year-old man is out with his friends at a rock concert. They are standing on the crowded dance floor, listening to the music. Suddenly, the young man has the feeling he is being crushed, and this sets off an anxiety attack. He starts screaming and his friends cannot come in contact with him. They help him outside, and get him to calm down. His friends call helpline 1813.
This is how we help
The nurse advises them to remain with the young man to ensure that the symptoms of the attack subside. She also recommends that the man should see his own physician (GP) the next day.
