University of Copenhagen, established in 1479, and Rigshospitalet, founded in 1757 by King Frederik V as the first hospital in the Nordic countries, share a rich history of patient treatment and advancing medical research.

Today, Rigshospitalet has 150 full clinical university professors and 450 PhD students within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, engaged in teaching and research for medicine. This academic partnership contributes to the education of future generations of healthcare professionals.
