The first conference on data-driven surgical safety is scheduled for October 24-25, 2024, at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This event aims to share knowledge on innovative surgical techniques that enhance patient safety and optimize healthcare resources using intraoperative data. It will feature interactive sessions, panel discussions, and workshops led by experts (Teodor Grantcharov, Steven Yule, Marlies Schijven, Isabelle Van Herzeele, Patricia Trbovich, Ismail Gogenur, Thomas Høi-Hansen, Rune Holdt, Kim Ekelund and many others), and is intended for healthcare staff, researchers, and hospital management. With a limited capacity of 150 participants, the registration fee is 100 Euros.

The target audience for the event on data-driven surgical safety includes healthcare staff of the operating room and researchers.

Young researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts (max 250 words) to the chair of the Steering Committee, Jeanett Strandbygaard, by August 15th, 2024. The top 10 abstracts will receive complimentary access to the conference, and the six most outstanding abstracts will have the opportunity to deliver a short oral presentation, with a prize awarded for the best presentation. Additionally, there are a few travel grants available for flights, trains, or buses for young participants.

To register for the conference, send an email with your name, affiliation, and title to data-drivensurgery-cph2024.center-for-hr@regionh.dk. Be sure to include your workshop preference if you have one. After sending the email, you will receive a payment link for the attendance fee, which is 100 Euros (750 DKK).
