
Kim Fleischer Michaelsen is professor of paediatric nutrition at Department of
Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, University of Copenhagen and part time
consultant at the Paediatric Nutrition Unit at The Department of Paediatrics and
Adolescent Medicine, The Juliane Marie Centre, Rigshospitalet, University of
Copenhagen.
His main research areas are:
- The effect of early nutrition on growth, body composition, development and
long term health in low- and high-income countries, with specific focus on
breastfeeding and complementary feeding
- Treatment of malnutrition in infants and children in low-income
countries
He is also adviser to the National Board of Health on infant and paediatric
nutrition
