Together with experts in bioinformatics from the University of Copenhagen and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the cardiologists have identified a previously undiscovered severe heart disease – the inherited familial ST depressions syndrome. The discovery has just been published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. 2. As a new professor at the University of Copenhagen, Professor Bundgaard will research into better treatment of both adults and children. 8. February 2016 / 10:00 New professorship puts focus on the entire spectrum of congenital heart disease Over the next few years, Professor Lars Søndergaard will launch a number of research projects covering the entire spectrum of congenital heart disease – from the foetal stage and well into adulthood.
