Big data enables new treatment of aggressive cancers Researchers from the Finsen Laboratory and BRIC in collaboration with researchers from Germany and Norway have developed a new computational method for analysis of large data material from thousands of cancer patients. Researchers develop antibody to save cancerous bones A research group lead by Dr. Niels Behrendt and Dr. Lars Engelholm from the Finsen Laboratory and BRIC shows that Osteosarcoma cells degrade the bone tissue through a completely different process than metastasised bone cancer. Through treatment with a specific antibody, the researchers blocked the process and reduced up to 80% of bone degradation in a cancer mouse model. 4. December 2015 / 12:00
