The Department of Anaesthesiology is responsible for a wide range of functions: anaesthesia and operation assistance, trauma reception, pain treatment and palliation, organisation of acute doctor’s vehicle and medical helicopter, pressure chamber treatment and of course, research.

The Department Of Dental, Oral and Maxilliofacial Surgery treats diseases, serious infections, abnormalities, cancer and lesions in teeth, the oral cavity and the jaw, for the whole Capital Region of Denmark.

The Department of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy functions as a cross-disciplinary unit at Rigshospitalet, but is administratively under the Centre of Head and Orthopaedics.

The Department of Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery and Burns Treatment is the largest plastic surgery department in Denmark. The department cooperates with all surgical departments at Rigshospitalet and a wide range of advanced treatments and reconstructions are performed by cross-disciplinary teams.

The clinic treats children, adults and elderly with ear, nose and throat disorders. In order to be treated in the clinic you must have a referral from an ear-nose-throat specialist or a general practitioner (GP).

The Trauma Centre at Rigshospitalet does not have open access to the emergency department treating minor injuries.
The nearest Accident & Emergency Department is located at Bispebjerg Hospital.
