Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

​The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery provides surgical treatment and outpatient care for bone, tissue, and joint conditions, specializing in trauma, spine, joint replacement, tumor, and hand surgery alongside active clinical research.​

​​​​In the Department Orthopeadic Surgery, we perform surgical treatment of diseases in and injuries to the body's bones, tissues and joints. The department is a special department for trauma surgery, back surgery, artificial joints, tumor and hand surgery. In the outpatient clinic, patients referred with orthopedic and plastic surgery disorders or burns are examined and treated.

The Department Orthopeadic Surgery is also involved in medical and nursing research and quality development. A number of research and development projects take place on an ongoing basis in the department.
