About Trauma Centre and Acute Admission

As a Level I Trauma Center, Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet has doctors in all specialties specialized in emergency care and post-traumatic reconstructive surgery for injured patients.

A hospital can receive Trauma Center verification by meeting specific criteria established by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and passing a site review by the Verification Review Committee.

The Trauma Centre at Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet has been participating in the Trauma Audit and Research Network since 1999.
