Morten Duno is the lab manager of the Molecular Genetic Laboratory at the Department of Clinical Genetics at The Juliane Marie Centre, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital

His research areas include:

• Molecular genetic diagnostic technologies
• Human molecular and medical genetics
• Genetic basis of neuromuscular disorders
• Mitochondrial genetics
• Non-invasive prenatal testing

The Molecular Genetic Laboratory (MGL) performs diagnostic analyses for more than 200 genetic disorders and has a constant focus on performance and quality. MGL has for more than a decade been actively involved in external quality assessment through the European Molecular Quality Network (EMQN). The laboratory has a broad scientific focus ranging from mitochondrial and neuromuscular disorders to inborn errors of metabolism, and uses state-of-the-art technologies.
