The department occupies about 70 employees from more than 10 different professions: biochemists, dieticians, engineers, laboratory technicians, molecular biologists, nurses, physicians, medical secretaries and other office personnel.

  • 1,000 genetic counselling sessions
  • 500 cancer genetic counsel​ling sessions
  • 2,000 outpatient consultations
  • 700 inhospital consultations
  • 3,000 prenatal chromosome and aneuploidy MPLA analyses
  • 1,300 postnatal chromosome analyses
  • 1,000 molecular cytogenetic analyses: array CGH and MPLA
  • 1,800 chromosome analyses for leukemia and other blood malignancies
  • 900 molecular analyses for leukemia and other blood malignancies
  • 4,000 investigations for inborn errors of metabolism
  • 2,500 DNA analyses for postnatal diagnosis of patients and family members
  • 200 DNA analyses for prenatal and preimplantation diagnosis.
