Cancelled - 1st Danish Symposium on Pediatric Palliative Care

Due to COVID-19, the symposium has been postponed to spring 2021

Grundet COVID-19 er symposiet udskudt til foråret 2021

The organizing committee is looking forward to welcoming you to the 1st Danish Symposium on Pediatric Palliative Care (DSPPC).

At this interdisciplinary symposium lectures will be provided by leading international pediatric palliative care experts and national pediatric experts. The Symposium will introduce and discuss how to integrate pediatric palliative care (PPC) with the curative and disease-modifying treatment to children with severe diseases and their families. The program is based on the four focus areas according to the Danish Health Authority’s guidelines for pediatric palliative care; oncology, neurology, organ failure and neonatology. However, ethical and psychological perspectives will be recurrent themes throughout the program.

The symposium yields opportunities to both build partnerships between the primary palliative care providers from the Pediatric Departments and the palliative care specialists as well as to interact with international experts and researchers in the field.

Scientific abstract submission opens early 2020, and abstracts will be presented as rapid fire and/or poster presentations. The deadline for abstract submission is 1st of March 2020.
