We supply all non-clinical services to Rigshospitalet,- an organization of 7.000 employees.
We support the clinical departments so that they can concentrate on their core business: patient care, research and education. We consider all departments at Rigshospitalet our customers, and we strive to match private and public service-organizations in efficiency and quality. Visitors' Café & Staff RestaurantCafé Riget is a self-service restaurant for patients and their relatives and is open every day all year round.The Staff Restaurant offers a large variety of lunch dishes to all staff members. Cleaning DepartmentCleaning, maintenance of outdoor areas and window polishing are outsourced activities carried out by private contractors. For further information please contact Lars Buhl, Head of Administration.
Central KitchenThe Central Kitchen supplies patients food to Rigshospitalet, Frederiksberg Hospital and Amager Hospital and provides approximately 2 million meals a year.A seperate menu is offered to the patients with speciel needs so they can choose whatever they like from a variety of special dishes. Patient HotelThe Patient Hotel provides hotel facilities - rooms and meals - for patients and relatives. The patient must be self-reliant, be able to administer their own medicine and admittance must be ordered by a doctor from the clinic they belong to. Technical Construction DepartmentThe Technical Construction Department is responsible for facility management of approximataly 10.000 rooms covering about 280.000 m2.Contracts for construction of new buildings or rebuilding projects are managed by the department.For further information please contact Technical Construction Manager Torsten Lybeck.
Technical Maintenance DepartmentThe Technical Maintenance Department is responsible for all technical installations and none-biomedical equipment, most of it very vital to the hospital such as waterheating-, power- and gas supply systems, fire system, ventilation system etc.For further information please contact Technical Maintenance Manager Mogens Thrane.
Transport DepartmentThe vast tunnel system under the hospital is always busy with transport of goods, waste, clean or dirty linned etc.You also meet fast moving youngsters with carts full of clinical samples, the mailman who delivers approximately four million letters a year or the internal train taking staff and samples from Blegdamsvej to Tagensvej.For further information please contact Head of the Transport Department Jan Krogshede.
