Laboratory of Reproductive Biology

Laboratory of Reproductive Biology, LRB, was founded in 1959 and has a long tradition for studying reproductive biology. Initially LRB was part of the Finsenlaboratory at The Finsen Institute, but in 1983 it moved to University Hospital of Copenhagen and became integrated in the Juliane Marie Center for Women, Children and Reproduction. LRBs research has focussed on basic science aspects of reproductive physiology as well as clinical research and activities in reproduction with the particular aim to implement new laboratory techniques in fertility treatment. Over the years many people have completed their doctor of sciences or their PhD studies at the laboratory. A continued educational effort to pre- and postgraduate medical and science students is also of high priority.
