A short summary of our activities in 2006:We have started over 2000 treatments and 457 achieved a live pregnancy. Our results have been good, even though we continue replacing fewer and fewer embryos per transfer. More than 50% of our IVF and ICSI patients now get 1 embryo replaced. The number of multiple pregnancies is now down to 10% after in vitro fertilisation. Our results with frozen embryo replacement are stable and 18% of all treatments resulting in an ongoing pregnancy. Preimplantation genetic diagnosis has developed and we are satisfied with this years’ result of 5 ongoing pregnancies after 31 started cycles. Our treatment program for HIV and hepatitis B or C (HBV/HCV) positive patients has been established in 2006 and we can now offer intrauterine insemination, In vitro fertilisation and Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection.
