Scope of Care
To provide hospitals with all aspects of blood transfusion services incl. delivery of blood component of high international standards all the 24 hours

  • Handling of blood donors and blood donation
  • Testing of blood
  • Fractionation of blood and production of blood and stem cells components
  • Medicall counseling concerning haemotherapy (vy M:D:-specialists in tranf. Medicine)
  • Relevant blood group serology incl. investigations of complications.
  • Guidelines concerning administration of blood and blood components
  • Antenatal blood group serology
  • Running of transfusioin committees
  • Harvest and handling of stem cells and donors for stem cell transplantation.

Proper identification of patients in the wards before administration of blood components (compliance with guidelines)
