Ph.D Mandana Haack-Sørensen wins Lorentz Eldjarn Prize Competition 2012

Ph.D Mandana Haack-Sørensen has won the prize of 100.000 dkk for best article published in The Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation the last five years.

The Lorentz Eldjarn Prize was established in 2009 on the basis of a donation from Professor Lorentz Eldjarn. The prize is awarded every second year to the first author of the best article published in ”The Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation” during the last five years.

This year 20 articles were selected in the competition and three of the selected articles were nominated to be presented at the biannual Nordic Congress in Clinical Chemistry, especially focusing on the scientific impact of the studies on the development within the actual field of research.

Based on the scientific quality of the study and the clarity of the presentation Ph.D. Mandana Haack-Sørensen from Rigshospitalets Cardiology Stem Cell Lab won first prize – 100.000 dkk. for the article "Comparison of different culture conditions for human mesenchymal stromal cells for clinical stem cell therapy" - published in The Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation 2008; 68:192-203.
