Lundbeck Foundation donates DKK 40 mill. (EUR 5.3 mill.) to brain research

The Lundbeck Foundation has agreed to extend its work at Cimbi, Center for Integrated Molecular Brain Imaging by five years; now to run to the end of 2015.
The Lundbeck Foundation has pledged an additional donation of DKK 40 mill. (EUR 5.3 mill.) to Cimbi, Center for Integrated Molecular Brain Imaging.

Now the research cooperation can continue for another five years until the end of 2015. 

Researching substance abuse
Cimbi was established in 2005 with funding from the Lundbeck Foundation, and it is a cooperation between several research units in the Copenhagen area.

Among other things, research at Cimbi focuses on what makes some people develop various kinds of substance abuse.

The final budget for this cooperation for the period 2012-2015 is currently being drawn up, and the contract is expected to be signed in February 2011.
