Conditions and treatments

The department treats, advises and supports patients admitted to or otherwise in contact with departments at the Juliane Marie Centre. Patients and parents of children may be offered psychological support and treatment as well as help from a social advisor in connection with treatment at Rigshospitalet, if the department and a psychologist or a social advisor deem it necessary.

After treatment at Rigshospitalet
Social advisors help in connection with agreements with the patient’s local municipality.

Psychologists may help refer to local-community psychologists - private, municipal psychologists and others.

Special treatment areas of the department:

  • Pregnancy - birth -motherhood
  • Sick children
  • Diseases in women
  • Centre for Victims of Sexual Assault
  • Sexually abused children
  • Children admitted to the hospital or in outpatient treatment


Children admitted to the hospital or in outpatient treatment
When a child becomes ill and needs to be treated at a hospital for a period, there are many ways to get financial support for loss of income, to pay for extra costs and other remedial measures. Social advisors at Rigshospitalet offer advice and guidance in connection with the issues and problems that may arise.
