The Department of Endocrinology has a highly specialised function in the specialist area endocrinology. The department diagnoses and treats all types of endocrinological patients.
The department receives patients with severe, rare or unresolved endocrinological diseases from eastern Denmark, the Faeroe Islands and Greenland.
The department has a comprehensive consultancy function and cooperates with other specialist departments at Rigshospitalet.
