Board of Management and staff

Rigshospitalet's primary management is administered by a Board of Management, which is responsible to the Capital Region of Denmark for the hospital's activities and installations as a whole. The management is served by administrative departments.

Because of the size of Rigshospitalet, to a large extent responsibilities and remits are decentralised into the eight centres.

All administrative departments have staff functions on the Board.

Centres
Rigshospitalet is divided into six treatment centres and two interdisciplinary centres. Each centre is managed by a manager with independent administrative and financial responsibility. The Board of Management's functions are therefore administered in close cooperation with the centres.
